Wheelset DT Swiss 240s Straightpull RR411 DB 700C 1530g

The presented wheel set is made of DT Swiss components. A set designed for demanding users who value failure-free, low weight and individual design. The wheel set is compatible with the tubeless ready system. DT Swiss tubuless ready tape is included.

The wheels are equipped with DT Swiss 240s hubs. This is a series of hubs for perfectionists. Optimized for the lowest weight. It was designed without compromise. The front hub has two machine bearings. The rear hub is equipped with four machine bearings and a ratchet system (18 teeth), which guarantees excellent freestanding work. Servicing the rear hub is very simple. Service of rear hub does not require any tools.

We used DT Swiss RR411 DB rims for wheel construction.The most advanced alloy existing for rims meets the most advanced rim profile to form the DT Swiss RR 411 rim. From the moment the alloy is melted all the way to the secret surface treatment, this rim is all about getting the absolute best out of the great, shiny metal that is aluminum. Very light, very strong, very classy is the result. Due to its asymmetric design it allows to build wheels with even tension, making for an even crispier ride. And being disc brake specific brings down the weight even further while staying all black to score high on style points.

The connecting elements between hubs and rims are spokes and nipples.

The CX-Ray aero spoke combines excellent aerodynamics with low weight and great strength. Sapims cold forged aero spokes are used by professional road racers, triathletes and even downhill racers all around the world. Not only are they more aerodynamic, they also make wheels lighter and stronger. The CX-Ray fits easily into standard hubs. The ends have a diameter of 2 mm and the aero section measures 0,9x2,3 mm.

Sapim's anodized Polyax nipples are treated with a special coating to increase durability and allow for easier wheel building. Aluminium saves weight,compared to other materials like brass. Sapim's patented Secure Lock technology is a locking mechanism that prevents nipples from untightening. The advantages of this easy locking system are the possibility to use them on a truing machine and that there is no loose function while truing the wheel. Highly precise and accurate machines have specifically been developed to produce this type of locking system. They ensure stable and well defined deformation on the thread and increase the nipple's torsion about 18 cNm (+/- 3 cNm).
